On the left side of the photo, there is a 3D printed model from ABS material. Significant cracks can be seen on this 3D printout. In this case, the user didn’t use a special enclosure, that can protect the printout from external factors. On the right side of the photo, you can see the same model that was printed on the 3DGence DOUBLE P255 printer. During this 3D printing process, there was used a dedicated enclosure. The 3D printed model meets all design requirements.

The basic equipment of the 3DGence DOUBLE P255 printer includes an enclosure, an accessory that allows controlling the 3D printing process better. Its application enables printing from materials such as ABS or PP. Maintaining suitable heating conditions when working with these materials is important because of their very unusual sensitivity to shrinkage. 

For some users printing with the use of ABS material can be a big challenge due to a problem with cracks on the model when they are violently cooled, or by delamination or peeling off the printouts from the heatbed. Nevertheless, ABS is one of the most popular materials used in the 3D printing industry, so it is crucial to master the 3D print from this material.


I carried out the quality test of prints from ABS and PP materials by myself. Therefore, I can confirm that the quality of the printouts with the use of the new enclosure dedicated to  3DGence DOUBLE P255 is much better.

The entire design lays steadily on the printer and the quality of the components in use allows to maintain the ideal conditions inside the chamber.
