Le PC est une matière très exigeante et ne facilite point l’obtention de pièces imprimées de haute qualité. Il demande une température d’impression de près de 300°C, est sensible à l’humidité et susceptible de se déformer. Il est nécessaire de veiller à ce que les conditions d’impression restent inchangées, de préférence dans une chambre d’impression fermée et chauffée.

Propriétés

La grande précision dimensionnelle, la rigidité accrue et la résistance aux chocs rendent cette matière particulièrement adaptée à la production de modèles exigeants et durables. Le polycarbonate est également un isolant électrique.
